I can still remember the day that I heard that the East Germans were going to open their borders - it was announced at the end of the noon newscast, as it had just come in over the wire services. I tried to call Paul, but he was in a meeting. I remember crying - it was truly a remarkable day; Communism had failed.
This short video is an inspiring reminder of just what that meant - it's too bad that our current President doesn't appreciate that.
